In recent years I’ve grown quite a penchant for purchasing handbags! Mostly of the high street variety or bargains found in the sales or TK Maxx.

I’ve been lusting after a Michael Kors bag for a while. I didn’t really fancy the Selma Tote as a lot of people seem to have them and I didn’t want something quite so big. My favourite type of bags are cross body so in the January sales I thought I’d keep an eye out for a potential bargain.

When I found the Michael Kors Selma Cross Body Bag with 30% off in this gorgeous dusty rose with black and cream details I instantly fell in love.

I wouldn’t usually treat myself to something this expensive but I had some Christmas money left over and I’d recently received my first pay cheque from my new job that I felt I deserved it. And we only live once, right?

My Michael Kors Selma Cross Body Bag is the perfect size to hold my purse, keys, phone, tissues, lip balm and kindle or a notebook and pen. I don’t really like to carry around more than this as I easily get achy shoulders so it’s ideal.

I also absolutely adore the black and dusty rose contrast and I think it makes the handbag a bit more unusual than the bags in a single colour. However, it’s also not such an unusual design that I wouldn’t be able to wear it with most of my outfits which is another reason why I chose it as I didn’t want to invest in something that I wouldn’t be able to use on a regular basis.

I’m extremely pleased with the quality of my handbag. I’ve been using it quite a bit and it still looks brand new! I think that as long as I look after it properly then it should last me for years to come.

Guys, Disneyland was absolutely amazing! I can’t wait to tell you all about it in an upcoming post. I haven’t had the time to look through my photos yet but I’m hoping I’ll fit in a decent blogging session on the weekend.

In the meantime it’s Thursday and so time for another nail post! Essence My Love Diary (number 48) is a rich pinky rose that applied evenly in 2 easy coats. My Love Diary is a gorgeous shade for this time of year when we’re sort of between seasons.

Essence nail polishes never cease to amaze me with their high quality products and budget prices. I wish my local Wilkos stocked more shades as I just want them all! I guess it’s a good enough excuse to order them online though.

Manicure sticks like this are really useful so I’m happy to have some more for my stash

Another great box from nailbox, all of the nail polishes fit the theme perfectly and the addition of Love Hearts is a great touch.
