My Current Everyday Makeup Favourites

My Current Everyday Makeup Favourites
On an average morning, on an average day, I only give myself around 15 minutes to do my makeup. 15 minutes isn’t actually a very long time, at least not when I’m applying a full face of makeup, at the crack of dawn, but I’ve got to the stage where I’m really happy with my routine.

The products I’ve come to love play a huge role in this so today I thought I would share my current everyday makeup favourites.

Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot Instant Perfecting Power Primer | £11.00

The Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot Instant Perfecting Power Primer was a favourite find of 2016 and 4 tubes later, it’s still my primer of choice. I like to apply a pea sized amount of primer to my cleansed face before I apply the rest of my makeup. I think it is worth noting that I have combination skin, with an oily T zone, it’s not super oily, but can get shiny within a few hours. Well this primer really helps my make up last throughout the day whilst keeping shine at bay.

Too Faced Chocolate Brow-nie Eyebrow Pencil (shade Deep Brown) | £19.00

Once I’ve applied my primer and give it a bit of time to settle (in the meantime I tend to make my hair half presentable), I use the Too Faced Chocolate Brow-nie Eyebrow Pencil to fill in my brows. Aside from the fact that it makes me crave chocolate at stupid o’clock in the morning (yep, it smells of chocolate!), this is the easiest and quickest brow pencil I’ve ever used. One end has an angled, ‘calligraphy tip’ which allows for strokes of varying sizes and the other end has a spooley to help blend and groom brows. It’s genuinely perfect for when I’m tight for time and it lasts really well throughout the day without smudging or fading.

Maybelline Dream Cushion Liquid Foundation (shade 30 Sand) | £13.99

Next I apply my foundation, I’m still really enjoying the Maybelline Dream Cushion Liquid Foundation, I’ve written a full review here if you’d like to have a look. But in summary, the shade 30 Sand is a great match for my skintone, has buildable coverage, it gives a natural, even finish and feels really comfortable to wear all day long.

Rimmel Insta Fix And Matte Powder | £4.99

Then I’ll go in with a big fluffy brush covered in the Rimmel Insta Fix And Matte Powder to set my foundation and help it last even longer throughout the day. The Rimmel Insta Fix And Matte Powder is a translucent pressed powder that leaves me with a lovely matte finish. I used to swear by the NYX HD Finishing Powder, but the Rimmel offering is £3 cheaper and isn’t always out of stock, it also does the job just as well as the NYX HD Finishing Powder.

Max Factor Creme Bronzer (shade Light Gold) | £9.99

If I’m really strapped for time, I’ll skip this step, but most days I like to add a bit of bronzer so that I don’t feel quite as pale. The Max Factor Creme Bronzer in shade Light Gold is a really lovely shade, it blends beautifully and gives me a natural sun-kissed glow in seconds.

It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara | £19.00

I can’t leave the house without mascara, so my final step is applying my current favourite mascara, the IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara. It does everything I want from a mascara – it lengthens, volumises and defines my lashes leaving them looking black, lifted, fuller and longer. I only wish I’d discovered this mascara sooner.
