I don’t have the time or the inclination to keep a full on journal but I do think it’s lovely to document everyday life and special moments in some way. When I came across the One Line A Day memory book early last year on one blog or another, I really loved the concept. I have always been the type of person to write special occasions or things I’d like to remember in my diary, but unless I keep my diaries year on year these memories are lost, which is why I think this memory book is truly wonderful.
In the One Line A Day memory book, each day is assigned to a page which is split into 5 sections so that the memory book can cover 5 years of your life. There is room to write a couple of sentences so you can easily capture all the events of your day.
I was gifted this memory book at the end of last year so I started it on the 1st of January and have found writing in it a real joy and fairly effortless. I am excited to look back through my memory book in the future to remind myself of all the moments I’ve captured and as long as I manage to keep it up over the next 5 years it will be a treasured keepsake.
I think this memory book would be a really special gift for someone embarking on a new milestone, whether that be they’ve just turned 18, got married or had a baby. In fact, when I first came across this memory book I was trying to think of a thoughtful wedding gift for my best friend who was getting married in a few months time and I purchased this as part of their present.
