I am going to be thoroughly predictable and start this post by saying, how is it possibly the end of the year? Every year, the days and months seem to go by even more quickly than the last.
If you have been reading my blog for a while you may have come to realise that I enjoy trying new products so I won’t repurchase a beauty or skincare product unless I really enjoy using it, so I thought I’d share my 5 favourite products of the year that I either have been or certainly would repurchase as I use them on a weekly if not daily basis.
I mentioned in this post, that I swear by the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water as a pre-cleanse as it gently removes my full face of make up. Ever since I first purchased this product near the start of the year I haven’t looked back as it’s refreshing, easy to use and removes all of my make up with 3-4 cotton wool pads.
Another skincare item I have loved this year is the Super Facialist Tea Flower Deep Clean Pore Purifying Clay Mask (which I featured as part of my Favourite Face Masks post). I own a lot of face masks and I like to use them at least a couple of times a week and the Super Facialist offering is the one I reach for most regularly. It’s simply a delight to use and leaves my skin feeling deeply cleansed, smooth and refreshed. It really feels like it makes a difference and I would highly recommend it for congested skin.
I wrote a full review of the SEVENTEEN Falsifeye HD Mascara back in September so I won’t repeat myself here but in short this is my favourite mascara and I still use this every single day. It is a great multi-tasking mascara that lengthens, seperates and volumises and lasts all day long without my mascara crumbling or eyelashes losing their definition. I genuinely sing its praises to anyone that will listen as this is the best mascara I have ever tried, and I have tried more mascaras then I care to admit.
Another beauty product I have really loved this year is the Rimmel London Colour Rush Balm in Drive Me Nude. This is my all time favourite lip product and is the perfect pink-brown nude that is fairly long wearing. As you can tell it is thoroughly loved as all the branding has rubbed off the packaging. I really need to try some more Colour Rush Balms.
My fifth favourite product of the year is the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I wrote a glowing review of the rival Beautyblender not too long ago but actually since purchasing the Real Techniques offering my Beautyblender has been sat unused gathering dust. I’ll be sharing a full review with you at some point in the new year, but I believe the Real Techniques sponge provides a fuller coverage which I prefer and the flat side makes applying foundation super easy. I love this sponge so much that I’ve brought a second so I’m never without it! There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t apply my make up using this little sponge as I’m over the moon with the finish it provides.
