In the past few weeks I have been using the MUA Peel Off Polish Base Coat (1, 2 and 3) when using glitter polishes and I feel I have used this enough to share my thoughts with you.
I love glitter polishes but I find the removal process a real chore so very rarely wear them. Who wants to spend longer removing nail polish than it needs to apply? However, I recently purchased the MUA Peel Off Polish Base Coat for £1.99 in the hope that it would provide a no-hassle solution so I can start using my glitter polishes more regularly.
The MUA Peel Off Polish comes in a basic bottle and the base coat itself has no smell and applies easily, the brush is fairly wide so you can cover the whole nail in almost one stroke. I have found that applying a thin layer is best otherwise it can take a while to dry. I then let the base coat dry completely before applying another polish on top. I was a bit concerned that my polish would start to peel away at the corners prematurely but I haven’t had any problems, my polish stays put until I decide I want to remove it.
To remove, I used a cuticle stick to gently lift a corner up and peel off the polish applied. The polish on each nail lifts completely in one go and leaves very little residue behind. I then removed any leftover specks of polish with some nail varnish remover. I am really pleased that my nails are left in their original condition – I haven’t found that the MUA Peel Off Polish Base Coat damages my bare nails in the slightest.
This base coat is very quick, simple and easy to remove and therefore ideal for glitter or textured polishes, or any polishes if you don’t like to use nail polish remover. I am just so impressed with this extremely affordable base coat! I will certainly be using this every time I want to use a glitter polish and this little purchase has renewed my love for all my favourite glitter polishes as it has enabled me to use them more regularly without all the hassle! I don’t think I would use this base coat for any other polishes as it doesn’t come with any other benefits, for example it doesn’t strengthen or harden the nails but it is ideal for glitter or textured polishes.
What are your tricks for removing glitter or textured polishes? Have you heard of the MUA Peel Off Polish Base Coat?

I’m really impressed with it :) xx

Oh wow this looks really good, although I’d be a bit concerned as to whether it would damage your nails at all. I get worried that it’ll strip off a thin upper layer of the nail.

£11 is quite a lot but if it has additional benefits/ dries quickly maybe it is better than the MUA Peel Off Polish? It’s great for just £1.99 though! xx
