Happy Monday! Can you believe that Christmas is just 1 week away?! I haven’t posted a Mascara Monday in months so today I thought I would write about the mascara I’m currently enjoying, the Tanya Burr Selfie Story Lash Mascara.
The Tanya Burr Selfie Story Lash Mascara (to be honest, I’m not a big fan of the name), is said to provide “buildable drama with eye defining lash separation, use Selfie Lash mascara to achieve the perfect selfie-ready look.”
This mascara comes in a shiny gold tube with black scalloped trim around the lid. The branding takes up a large proportion of the front of the tube which I don’t mind, but it’s certainly not as subtle as the It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara for example.
Wand and Formulation
The Tanya Burr Selfie Story Lash Mascara has a fairly long wand with a slim applicator. The applicator itself features numerous short plastic bristles that taper towards the end of the wand.
The formulation has very black pigmentation and was just right from the very first application, not too wet to make a mess during application or too dry that it flakes. Once applied, this mascara doesn’t flake or smudge either and it lasts really well throughout the day.
For a drugstore mascara costing just £7.99 I am really impressed. The Tanya Burr Selfie Story Lash Mascara is really buildable, I can apply a couple of coats for more of an every day look or more coats for a more dramatic effect.
The Tanya Burr Selfie Story Lash Mascara seperates, defines and extends lifts my lashes while still leaving them feeling soft. It’s not super volumising but it works really well to lift and curl my lashes.
This mascara is also comfortable to wear, it doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes or leave my lashes feeling crunchy and hard. It’s also easy to remove when I want to take it off at the end of the day.
In all honesty, I didn’t expect much from the Tanya Burr Selfie Story Lash Mascara but I was very wrong, it’s quickly become one of my favourite drugstore mascaras and I’m actually quite intrigues to try more Tanya Burr Cosmetics.
