Last Sunday was a gorgeous spring day, the sun was shining, there was a chill in the air but not such a chill that being outside wasn’t enjoyable. Nick had the day off so we decided to visit Hatfield House. I’ve been several times as a child, but I can’t say I remember the last time I walked the grounds so thought it was a good opportunity to have a wander.

Hatfield House is actually one of the venues we considered for our wedding, and although the buildings and grounds are stunning I don’t think I could cope with the public being all around us on our big day as I’m too much of a private person! When we visited for wedding venue scouting I rediscovered how beautiful Hatfield House is and I made a promise to myself to come back and revisit to see the grounds properly.

Nick and I spent our Sunday morning exploring the grounds, admiring the blossom on the trees and feeding the goats in the farm – I’m not going to lie feeding the goats was certainly a highlight, the goats photographed became our best friends and tried to follow us around in the hope of more food – it was quite sweet really!

I’m so pleased the weather is warming up and the days are now longer, I’m hoping we can go on more weekend adventues a bit more regularly now as it’s such a lovely way to spend time together.
