Empties #2

empties#2.
My last Empties post was so long ago that I have accumulated a lot of empties! Instead of boring you all with an 1000 world essay I’ll try to keep it as short and snappy as possible. If you have any questions about any of these products feel free to comment and I’ll answer them as best I can.

BeeKind Body Lotion Sample
I’ve been really trying to use up some of my beauty box samples as I currently have far too many stashed away in my dressing table. This has a lovely lemony honey scent and feels really hydrating. I love that a portion of the proceeds of every purchase is donated to help support a healthier honeybee population.
Repurchase? Possibly as a gift but not for myself as it’s quite pricey for a body lotion.

Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Cleanser
I like to use this cleanser first thing in the morning to wipe away any dirt accumulated overnight. I don’t think it would work to remove a full face of make up but it’s quick and easy for a morning cleanse. It leaves my skin feeling really clean and refreshed.
Repurchase? Yes, I already have!

English Laundry Perfume Sample
I really love the smell of this perfume a beautifully fresh scent with top notes of rose geranium and creamy white flowers set against its backdrop of woody spicy and musky notes.
Repurchase? No – but only because it’s more then I’d ever spend on a perfume.

Fragonard Bath and Shower Gel in Figuier Fleur
This shower gel came as part of a cute little gift set. It has quite a subtle but lovely smell that is hard to describe but it contains bergamot, bitter orange, neroli, magnolia and freesia with cardamom, nutmeg and oak moss.
Repurchase? I wouldn’t repurchase for myself, maybe as a gift for someone else though.

Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days Lotion Honey
I don’t use this moisturiser on a daily basis but I like to use it when my skin is feeling particularly dehydrated as it quickly helps my body feel smooth and deeply moisturised.
Repurchase? Yes – I already have.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
I swear by this product as a pre-cleanse as it gently removes my full face of make up. It does take 3-4 cotton wool pads to remove all of my make up completely but the bottle still lasts me a good month. I find it refreshing and easy to use.
Repurchase? Yes, I already have (for something like the 6th time!).

Herbal Essences Bee Strong Strengthening Intensive Mask
I brought this intensive mask after liking the leave in conditioner so much. It has a lovely honey and apricot fragrance and using this product left my hair feeling silky, shiny and nourished.
Repurchase? Maybe.

Janjira Argan Oil Hand Wash Sample
Another beauty box sample – this felt like I was using a hand wash and moisturiser in one and it had a lovely smell.
Repurchase? No, it just wouldn’t feel right spending £12+ on a handwash.

L’oreal Elvive Colour Protect Caring Shampoo and Conditioner
This shampoo and conditioner combo left my hair feeling soft, lookig shiny and smelling lovely.
Repurchase? Maybe – if I found it on offer again.

Max Fact 2000 Calorie Mascara
This product was recommended to me by a friend but unfortunately this mascara was really disappointing. It separated my lashes but I didn’t feel like it added any volume at all which is what this mascara claims to do. I think this would work better for someone with thinner lashes
Repurchase? No.

My Little Beauty’s Micellar Water
This micellar cleansing water works almost as well as the Garnier offering, I just didn’t find it quite as effective but it’s definitely comparable.
Repurchase? No, I’m sticking to the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water.

Nivea Daily Essentials Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover
I really wanted this product to remove my eye make-up easily but in truth I had to use 2-3 cotton wool pads to remove my eye make up and I’d still have some smudging around my eyes come morning.
Repurchase? No.

Nivea Daily Essentials Gentle Exfoliating Scrub
I think this exfoliating scrub is a bit too gentle for my skin, it didn’t feel like it worked to remove dead skin cells so now that I’ve finished it I’m on the hunt for an alternative.
Repurchase? No.

No7 Lash Adapt Mascara
When I first purchased this mascara I used it all the time for an everyday look. I could use as many coats as I wanted and it wouldn’t clump at all but it actually dried up quite quickly which wasn’t great.
Repurchase? No.

No7 Stay Perfect Foundation in Warm Ivory
This foundation is the perfect match for my skin and it’s a dream to apply but it just doesn’t last a full day. I know I work a long day but when a foundation claims to last up to 24 hours I would expect it to last until I get home.
Repurchase? No.

Pantene Pro-V Breakage Defence Conditioner Sample
It’s hard to tell how good a conditioner is from such a tiny sample, I haven’t really formed on opinion but I’m now curious as to whether it does work.
Repurchase? Maybe.

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer Sample
This pre-shampoo sample really worked to give my hair some extra moisture, I’d love to use it some more to really see the benefits.
Repurchase? Maybe.

Sanctuary Pore Refining Toner
I found that I had to spray quite a bit of this product onto a cotton wool pad for it properly dampen but it has a light fresh scent and feels very gentle to the skin.
Repurchase? Maybe.

SEVENTEEN Stay Time Concealer
This concealer provides long lasting full coverage and I honestly think it’s awesome for the price, especially as fair is such a great match for me.
Repurchase? Yes – already have.

Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot
This is one of the best translucent powders I have ever tried, it’s long lasting and really works to keep skine at bay. It’s slightly on the pricey side but it is a worthy purchase.
Repurchase? Yes.

VO5 Mega Hold Styling Mousse
I think this product is a bargain, it costs less than £4 and lasts absolutely ages whilst accentuating my curls really well. It’s not quite as good as the Schwarzkopf Professional Silhouette Flexible Hold Mousse but it’s not far off!
Repurchase? Yes, I always have this mousse in stock.

Can anyone recommend a really good eye make up remover or toner? I’d love to test out your favourites!
