In my box:
Beauty Protector Protect & Treat Hair Mask
Dr Jart+ Water-Act Skin Mist GMO-Free Toner
English Laundry Signature For Her EDP Spray
LipGlam Natural Lanolin Lip Balm
Lord & Berry Sienna Bronzer
Lifestyle extra: Montezuma’s Organic Milk Chocolate
I’m going to kick off this post by saying – where is my insert? Not sure why it’s missing and if I’m honest I was really looking forward to reading this little booklet, as I do every month. I’ve contacted the support team so maybe they will send me a digital version, but I’m not holding my breath.
The Birchbox theme this month is “Cosy at Home” which I think is perfect for November, this box is meant to help battle the winter blues and help make the most of hibernating at home.
I’m really happy with the contents of this month’s box, there isn’t a product I won’t use and I’m pretty excited to try them all out. I’d eaten the Montezuma’s mini chocolate bar within seconds of snapping the photos for this post and I must say it’s rather tasty! Lovely smooth chocolate that has a slightly stronger flavour than Cadbury or Galaxy chocolate.
I know some people don’t like to receive a perfume sample in their beauty box but the November box includes 2 full size samples so I’m not going to complain. English Laundry is a beautiful sweet fresh scent and a perfume I’d choose for myself if it wasn’t quite so pricey. It contains top notes of rose geranium and creamy white flowers with a backdrop of woody spicy and musky notes.
As you saw from my Loved Lip Balms post I own quite a few lip products but I’ll always welcome a new one to try. LipGlam Natural Lanolin Lip Balm is completely natural and it formulated to lock in moisture and provide hydration for up to 8 hours. I’ve already used this a few times and it has quite a thick consistency so does take some squeezing to first get the product out of the tube, once applied it feels very soothing and has a pleasant, fairly faint sweet scent.
Thanks to my Birchbox subscription I have tried a few products from Beauty Protector and I’m rather looking forward to pampering my hair with this hair mask. The November box contains 2 samples of the light pink Protect and Treat mask. It smells absolutely amazing and contains a mixture of argan oil, honey, amber and crushed pearls to nourish and protect hair whilst also making it shinier.
The Lord & Berry Sienna Bronzer looks like a very wearable bronzer and I think I’ll get quite a bit of wear out of it as I do like to add a little summer glow to my cheeks on a night out or when I’m feeling particularly pale in the Winter months.
My current toner has almost run out so receiving the full size Dr Jart+ Water-Act Skin Mist Toner couldn’t have come at a better time. This toner has been created with oatmeal and cactus flower extracts to boost the skins moisture and help maintain a healthy appearance.
This month’s box was a particularly good one, thank you Birchbox! I hope the December box is just as great.
What were your thoughts on the November Birchbox?
