I can’t believe that it’s been a whole eight months since I last shared the contents of my Mani and Lola subscription boxes on the ol’ blog.
I think it’s worth noting that the Mani and Lola nail polish subscription box is the only sub box I’m currently subscribed to and that’s a testament to the consistent level of quality on offer. Month on month I’m always just as excited to see the contents of the next box, and the October box doesn’t disappoint.
The October Mani and Lola edit contains a mix of bold shades, shimmering polishes, a nail care product and a glitter topper.
So what exactly can be found inside?
Cuccio Vegas Vixen | RRP £6.95
Vegas Vixen is a breathtaking glitter charcoal grey. It has a sheer grey base with an abundance of fine and chunky silver glitter particles. I think I’ll have to wear a peel off base coat as I suspect it’s a nightmare to remove, but nonetheless I can’t wait to try this.
Icon Cosmic Fibres | RRP £9.95
Definitely feeling Bonfire Night vibes from Icon’s Cosmic Fibres holographic strands. It’s literally a little pot of glittery magic dust!
Jessica Nourish | RRP £8.95
I’m always neglecting my cuticles so I figure that the more oils and creams I have around, the more likely I am to use them. Jessica Nourish is a welcomed addition, and it smells lovely too.
Morgan Taylor Sweet Escape | RRP £11.00
I’m building quite a collection of Morgan Taylor nail polishes thanks to Mani and Lola, and trust me I’m not complaining. Sweet Escape is described as a pumpkin orange on the card but I would say that it’s more of a coral orange. I’m sure it will still work perfectly for a few Halloween inspired manis though!
Orly The Antidote | RRP £12.00
As soon as I received my Mani and Lola box I went straight in and painted my nails with Orly’s The Antidote. This is a gorgeous deep wine shade – all the Autumn feels! I really like the formula of the Orly breathable nail polish range and this is no exception; it applied smoothly in two coats.
Zoya Dannii | RRP £11.70
Zoya Dannii is a beautiful purple shimmer and another nail polish that I couldn’t wait to try, I mean, just look at it!
The Mani and Lola October edit has a pretty impressive line up with 4 full size nail polishes in a beautiful range of shades. The only item that I’m not sure I’ll use is the glitter pot but I’ll definitely try and give it a go.
In fact, I was so impressed by the shades that I decided to do a little Halloween inspired mani using Zoya Dannii and Morgan Taylor Sweet Escape. I’m so pleased with how this turned out! The contrast of the shimmery purple against the orange is super fun. All in all, it’s pretty effective for such a simple design if you don’t mind me saying so myself.
I hope to see a new or rarely featured nail polish brand in the next box as there have been a lot of repeated brands in the last few edits. Having said that, I’m already so excited to see the contents of the November edition – we’re coming up to the most wonderful time of the year and it makes me so excited for all the festive nail polish.
The Mani and Lola nail subscription box costs £20.00 + P&P per month and is delivered around the 15th of each month.
