Base Coat | OPI Nail Envy
Colour | Essie Cabana Boy
Top Coat | Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
I delved into my Essie nail polish drawer(s) and pulled out Essie Cabana Boy for my mani this week. It’s a bit of a different shade choice for me, much more understated, but I’m a fan!
Essie Cabana Boy is described as an “ultra-cool pearly white that sets hearts racing”. Personally, I would describe Cabana Boy as more of a pearly grey and in some lights, it even has undertones of lavender.
Essie Cabana Boy was released in 2005 and then reintroduced in the limited edition, 2016 Essie Retro Revival collection. If I remember correctly, Essie fans could vote for ANY historical shade to be revived which I think is pretty cool. I have a couple of shades from the collection so let me know if you would like me to feature any of the others.
I had assumed that Essie Cabana Boy would need 3 coats being so pale but in fact, it applied really nicely in 2 thickish coats which gets a pretty big thumbs up from me! I think it’s quite the cutie.
PSSST. My nail polish giveaway is open for just one more week – enter here to win the shade Leighton Denny Nothing But Sand.
