This is the most beautiful highlighter I’ve ever seen. There I said it. I have fallen head over heals for the Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter in Fireball. After purchasing The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter last summer, I honestly didn’t think I would find another highlighter that I could love more. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
I came across the Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter in Fireball in a vlog and was completely intrigued by the duochrome shift in this highlighter. Whereas The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer is a champagne toned highlighter, Fireball is a warm coral with a pink duochrome which is absolutely stunning. No photos will do this highlighter justice. I adore wearing pink/ coral toned blushers in the spring and summer months so this shade is perfect for me this time of year, but I’m also sure that I will use this throughout the year.
I like applying Fireball with my Benefit Hoola Bronzing and Contouring Brush as it blends beautifully. I also find that I can build this highlighter up without going overboard or use just a little for when I want a more subtle glow making it extremely wearable.
I’m also a big fan of the silver packaging. The Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighters come in a compact with a cut out on the lid so if you have more than one shade you can quickly spot which is which without having to open them up. It also feels like a very well made compact that would travel well, although I haven’t taken it with me on holiday yet.
The Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter in Fireball is such a game changer that I’m quite kean to try another shade to see how that compares. It’s funny to think that this time last year I’d never owned a highlighter and now I don’t go a day without applying one!
Have you tried the Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighters? Which is your favourite shade?
