On Sunday the 28th of February my Mum and I attended The National Wedding Show*. Shortly after Nick and I got engaged the lovely team at Debenhams got in touch to see whether I’d be interested in attending, I jumped at the chance as I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to get lots of inspiration for our big day. Plus, I’m willing to take any help I can get at the moment — wedding planning is so stressful. I didn’t think I could spend this much time looking into caterers, tasting cakes, looking at Wedding Photographers Essex, and browsing Pinterest! So, something that had tonnes of wedding resources and inspiration sounded perfect to me.
At The National Wedding Show we spent quite a bit of time browsing the beautifully arranged Debenhams stand as there was so much to see! From bridesmaid dresses to flower girl outfits, accessories, shoes, hats, costume jewellery and bridal underwear. If I’m honest before attending I had no idea that Debenhams has such a massive bridal range and it’s really very reasonably priced too.
As soon as I spotted the Debut Multiway Dress I was taken by the way that it can be styled in so many different ways as it means the bridesmaids can all be matching whilst also being a little unique to one and other.
I was a big fan of some of the shoes featured at the Debenhams stand such as the Debut Pink Patent Sandals (with matching bag) and the Debut Floral Court Shoes (with matching bag). Both would really help give a bridesmaid or a guest’s outfit that finishing touch. Especially when you add the gorgeous Jon Richard Vine Crystal Bracelet.
I totally fell in love with the RJR.John Rocha Girls’ Dress but sadly it doesn’t come in the right shade for my colour scheme otherwise I’d totally be getting this for my flower girl. A lot of the flower girl dresses go up to age 14 which was a very pleasant surprise as my flower girl is going to be 10 years old when we get married next year and I was worried I’d struggle to find her something but I now know where to look!
How adorable is the RJR.John Rocha Boys’ white shirt, navy waistcoat and bow tie set? It’s the perfect little boy’s wedding attire. Just too cute for words!
I’ve got my eye on some Debenhams dresses for my bridesmaids which I won’t share here just yet as I don’t want to spoil the surprise but it was worth attending the National Wedding Show for that alone! It was a really fun day out and I thoroughly enjoyed sharing the whole experience with my Mum.
