Anyone that reads my little ol’blog regularly will know how much I love the original Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water – it has been a staple in my routine for like 2 years now, so when I spotted the
Garnier SkinActive Oil Infused Micellar Cleansing Water a couple of weeks ago I just knew I had to try it.
The Garnier SkinActive Oil Infused Micellar Cleansing Water promises to be an efficient, yet gentle cleanser that removes all make up including water proof mascara and dirt to leave the skin feeling nourished. It states that it is suitable for even dry and sensitive skin.
I hadn’t seen or heard anything about this new Garnier SkinActive Oil Infused Micellar Cleansing Water so I was a bit unsure as to how it would compare with the original. The packaging is pretty much the same it just has a gold and cream design to distinguish it from the other Garnier micellar cleaners. Upon opening the lid I was instantly taken by the gorgeous scent of the cleanser. The cleanser needs shaking to combine the oils with the micellar water but then you’re good to go.
I have been using this micellar cleanser for 2-3 weeks now. I have combination skin and at the moment it is on the dry side so I haven’t found the formula to be too rich, I’m interested to see whether this will work for me throughout the year.
I’m just going to come right out and say it, I absolutely love this stuff. I thought the original was an effective cleanser, but the Garnier SkinActive Oil Infused Micellar Cleansing Water takes things to another level entirely! This formula work so well to remove make up, especially waterproof mascara without having to rub. I am genuinely blown away by how well this removes my make up, it feels like it’s being dissolved.
Like the original, the Garnier SkinActive Oil Infused Micellar Cleansing Water doesn’t need to be rinsed and at first I was worried it would leave my skin feeling oily but actually once it dries it just feels very smooth and nourished. I use micellar water as part of a 2 step cleanse in the evening but in the morning it’s nice to be able to use something refreshing to just wipe away any dirt without having to rinse.
It’s £1 more expensive then the original Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water at £5.99 but I’m sure it won’t be too hard to stock up when it’s on offer, it’s currently £7 for 2 in Boots so I’m certainly going to fill up my cupboards as it has swiftly become my holy grail.
Have you tried the new Garnier SkinActive Oil Infused Micellar Cleansing Water? Are you tempted?
