I received quite a bit of money for Christmas which is always a nice treat as it means I can afford to pick up a few things in the Boxing Day/ January sales. I’ve always been quite intrigued by facial cleansing brushes but have never invested in one as the majority on the market are really quite expensive and I wouldn’t want to shell out on something that I then may not enjoy using or that my skin doesn’t agree with.
When I spotted the Magnitone BareFaced Vibra-Sonic Daily Cleansing Brush on Look Fantastic for £50 down from £70 I thought it was the perfect opportunity to try a facial cleansing brush. The pastel pink design was also a pretty big selling point!
The Magnitone BareFaced Vibra-Sonic Daily Cleansing Brush is a waterproof facial brush suitable for all skin types that charges via wireless USB which is included in the box. It is recommended that the brush head is changed every 3 months and there are interchangeable brush heads available for different skin types and requirements.
The Magnitone BareFaced Vibra-Sonic Daily Cleansing Brush has 2 modes – a vibrasonic mode which gently deeply cleanses, clearing pores and toning skin and a pulselift toning mode which is described as an energising skin workout that boosts micro-circulation. Both modes have a 20 second timer and a 1 minute stop to ensure you clean your face evenly. The Magnitone BareFaced Vibra-Sonic Daily Cleansing Brush can be used with any cleanser which is a huge bonus as it means I can continue using my current favourite cleanser.
As soon as my Magnitone facial cleansing brush arrived I couldn’t wait to get it unboxed. One of the first things I noticed was how fun and nicely packaged the facial cleansing brush was, I loved noticing all the little details. The facial cleansing brush itself is very light weight and has a lovely smooth feel. The bristles are also extremely soft.
After reading the FAQ on the Magnitone website it states that it is common to notice a slight breakout after the first few days as the skin adjusts to this form of cleansing. They suggest that the vibrasonic mode is used to begin with as it’s the gentler setting of the two.
I have had my Magnitone BareFaced Vibra-Sonic Daily Cleansing Brush for over a week now and although I haven’t used the cleansing brush long enough to write a full review I thought I could share my first impressions. Each evening I remove the majority of my make up with a micellar water and then proceed to use the cleansing brush. I have been using the vibrasonic mode for 1 minute each evening to properly cleanse my face, concentrating on my cheeks, forehead and nose and the jawline for 20 seconds each.
Even after first use I noticed that my skin felt extremely clean and rejuvenated. I have also experienced improved absorption of moisturiser and serum so my skin feels really soft and well moisturised. I have had a few more spots than normal but these are already starting to clear so I’m hopeful that my skin will agree with using this facial cleansing brush long term. I think that after another week or so I will start using the pulselift toning mode every other night to see how that works for me.
I already feel pretty attached to my Magnitone BareFaced Vibra-Sonic Daily Cleansing Brush and I look forward to using it at the end of each day because of how great my skin feels after cleansing with it!
Have you ever tried a cleansing brush? Which one? Do you use it regularly?
