It’s Bonfire Night! I kind of wish I’d baked Bonfire Brownies again like last year but we’ve actually still got quite a few Creepy Cornflake Cakes to get through so I can’t really complain! Tonight I’m doing one of my absolute favourite things – going to a fireworks display! I absolutely LOVE fireworks – so colourful, so mesmerising, so magical.. so I can’t wait. I think I might go to a display tomorrow night too, I mean why not?
I tried to go with a bit of a firework theme for my nails this week, because that’s how much I love them. I used Barry M Black Grape as my base. Black Grape is one of four new shades introduced as part of Barry M’s Midnight Jelly Autumn/ Winter 2015 Collection. Black Grape is an almost black navy blue that applies perfectly in 2 coats – this is Barry M at its best.
I then applied 1 coat of Models Own Catherine Wheel – can you tell I’ve saved using this until now? Catherine Wheel is a gorgeous glitter topper with holographic strands, red hex glitter, red micro glitter and gold flecks in a clear base. This glitter topper applied evenly in 1 coat without giving me any bother.
I really like the overall look, a bit like fireworks exploding in the night sky which is what I was aiming for. What do you think?
