If you’re not a regular reader you may have missed previous posts on My Micellar Cleansing Water series, here is a quick recap. Over the course of 12 weeks I’ll be testing 12 budget (under £5) micellar cleansers. For the past week I have been using the Simple Kind To Skin Micellar Water morning and night to remove make up and dirt. Let’s see how this micellar water compares to the cleansers I’ve tested so far.
ABOUT THE PRODUCT
The Simple Kind To Skin Micellar Water costs £4.99 for 200ml of product, it’s currently on offer at £2.19 though making it extremely affordable. It is described as “enriched with minerals and multi-vitamins, especially designed to give the most effective cleanse, whilst hydrating the skin. It actively works to attract make-up and impurities whilst unclogging pores and allowing your skin to breath.”
THE GOOD
This micellar cleanser is housed in a clear plastic bottle with a functional drip feed attachment which works well to regulate the amount of product dispersed.
I need 3-4 large cotton wool pads covered in product to remove my full face of make up and I’ve used just under a third of the bottle in 7 days. I think the full bottle would last me between 3 and 4 weeks making this good value for money, especially when it’s on offer, although not quite as good value as the Nivea Daily Essentials Sensitive 3 in 1 Micellar Cleansing Water which costs just £3.69.
The Simple Kind To Skin Micellar Water is extremely gentle but works very well to remove make up, including mascara. It’s also beautifully refreshing which I like. It doesn’t leave me with any tightness or residue and it does in fact feel quite hydrating.
THE BAD
I can’t actually think of anything!
VERDICT
The Simple Kind To Skin Micellar Water is another micellar cleanser that has really impressed me and I would say that this product is on par with the Nivea Daily Essentials Sensitive 3 in 1 Micellar Cleansing Water. It effectively removes my full face of make up, it is gentle and leaves my skin feeling hydrated, it’s packaging is functional and it is good value for money.
Have you used this micellar cleanser? What did you think?
