Colour | CND Vinylux Weekly Wisteria Haze
Top Coat | CND Vinylux Weekly Top Coat
After receiving the CND Vinylux Weekly Wisteria Haze and Top Coat in my Nailbox last week I couldn’t wait to get painting my nails to give the Vinylux system a whirl. The CND Vinylux nail polishes are advertised as a 2 step process. After applying 2 coats of the Vinylux nail polish you’re meant to apply 1 coat of the Weekly Top Coat for week long, chip-free wear. The base coat is built within the Vinylux colour polishes too making this a fairly speedy process. Wisteria Haze is a gorgeous lavendar shade that needs 2 coats for full opacity (the first coat is rather streaky) and the formula is quite watery but not so much so that it makes it difficult to apply.
The top coat is meant to dry fully in 8.5 minutes and I’d say that my nails dried completely within about 10 minutes which is great. The Vinylus Top Coat isn’t as shiny as something like the Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat and it seems to dull with time too which is a shame.
Did this nail polish combo last a week? No, it didn’t. I had visible tip wear within 24 hours and chips within 48 hours which is much faster than I usually experience when I use a base coat and top coat which is really disappointing. Maybe I’ll use Wisteria Haze with a different top coat to see if that lasts better..
Have you tried the CND Vinylux nail polishes and top coat? What did you think?
