Base Coat | OPI Nail Envy
Colour | Barry M Sunset The Way You Make Me Teal
Top Coat | Barry M Sunset Top Coat
When I last visited Superdrug I spotted a 2 for £7 offer on Barry M nail polish (I think it’s still running now incase you want to take advantage) and a few of their other cosmetics. I thought the offer would be a great opportunity to pick up some of their new Sunset Daylight Curing Nail Paints and Top Coat. This new range from Barry M claims to “deliver the look and resilience of pro salon gel nails without a UV lamp or the expense”. So you basically just need a Sunset colour and the Sunset Top Coat and the polish will bond in daylight (or artificial light) with the added bonus that it can still be removed with a regular remover.
I’m all for any product that can deliver salon nails so I couldn’t wait to try these! I opted for Barry M Sunset The Way You Make Me Teal for my colour which is a beautiful bright teal that applies evenly in 2 coats. It has a lovely smooth formula. The top coat is equally as easy to apply and dryed the nail polish fairly quickly. The Barry M Sunset Top Coat definitely added an extra glossy finish to the nail polish too which I really liked.
I’ve read that this nail polish can last up to 10 days but after just 2 days I noticed signs of wear. So for me, this nail polish combo didn’t improve longevity as I’d hoped. I will however try another colour in the set with the top coat to see if that is anymore long lasting.
I wrote a full post about how I care for my nails here if you’d like to have a read.
Have you tried the new Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing range? What did you think?
