I can’t believe I’ve been home a week already! Aside from the various photo posts I have planned I thought you might be interested in mini reviews of 5 products I used daily for the duration of our holiday.
Bumble and bumble Surf Spray
I picked up the 50ml bottle a few weeks before we went away as it’s more expensive then what I’d usually spend on hair products and wanted to be sure I liked it before investing in the full size, but this was the perfect size for travel. I love how this smells and adds definition to my waves/ curls without leaving my hair crispy. I like to apply a few spritses along with my trusty Umberto Giannini Curl Friends Shapely Curls Mousse for extra body, and voila I have my low maintenance beachy look! I’m pretty sure I’ll be using this product all Summer long!
Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer in Watermelon
I took quite a few lip products away with me but the one I reached for daily was this lip shimmer from Burt’s Bees. After a day spent in the sun I wanted something nourishing for my lips in the evenings and this lip shimmer was both moisturising and gave my lips a natural pink tone that was easily buildable. I also like how these Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmers have a minty smell and are 100% natural.
The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer
This was a duty free purchase on the way out of England and I’m so pleased I snapped this up. Believe it or not this is my first ever highlighter purchase but it has already become a firm staple in my routine! Mary-Lou Manizer is a champagne coloured powder highlighter that can also be warn as an eyeshadow. It has a beautifully smooth texture that blends perfectly into the skin leaving a stunning golden glow. I particularly like to apply this on my cheek bones over bronzer. I have some more experimenting to do with this product but I love how it shimmers when it catches the light.
Hawaiian Tropic Sensitive Face Lotion Sunscreen SPF 30
This is the first time I’ve ever found a sunscreen that doesn’t sting my eyes or make them water, so for this reason alone I’m totally sold. This sunscreen also has quite a matte finish so I wasn’t left with a horribly shiny face which also gets a thumbs up. I’ll certainly be buying this again next year.
Makeup Revolution Ultra Bronze
This is such an amazing bronzer considering it’s just £3. It’s a tad darker than my currently tanned face so it’s perfect for adding a little extra colour to my cheeks. This bronzer has a very natural colour (no orange in sight) and is easily buildable with a matte finish. What more could you want?
