My Little Provence Box has landed and it has a pretty blue floral design to match the charming beauty of Provence (yep I looked it up on Pinterest!). Staying with the theme, 4 out of the 5 samples in the May edition are L’Occitane En Provence samples, the clue is in the name – this brand was founded in Provence! Other than a couple of hand creams and a lipgloss I don’t think I’ve tried much from L’Occitane so I’m looking forward to trying this month’s samples.
In my box I received a L’Occitane shower gel, hand and nail cream, body lotion and soap in the shape of a leaf and I must say these all smell amazing. The hand cream in particular is absolutely gorgeous and is going straight in my handbag! I am also very intrigued by the leaf shaped soap, at first I thought it was just a standard hand soap but it’s actually an exfoliating soap for the face. I’ve never tried anything like this so I’m very excited to give this a go.
As well as the L’Occitane goodies, I received My Little Beauty’s Eyeshadow Crayon in a stunning metallic brown shade that’s perfect for the coming Summer months. It will be interesting to see how long wearing this is.
I also received 2 lifestyle items in the My Little Provence Box. The first was a sheet of magnets consisting of a doll and various items of clothing and accessories which can be stuck to the fridge. My fridge is actually housed within a cupboard so I can’t attach anything to it so unfortunately I won’t be using these but it was fun putting the outfit together for this post nonetheless. When unpacking my box I was very eager to open the “Sunny Things Inside” package, but when I found the customiseable gold cuff with the blue thread inside I was a little disappointed. I wouldn’t ever wear a large piece of jewellery like this and I’m also not a fan of gold, which is a shame as I think the customisation aspect of this is lovely. It would be nice to receive some silver jewellery for a change.
Although I won’t be using the lifestyle items that came with the My Little Provence Box I am still very impressed with how well everything fits in with the theme and I’m excited to try all the L’Occitane samples and the eyeshadow crayon.
