2014 was the year of the pompoms and I get the feeling that 2015 will be the year of the knitting loom. So watch out friends and family, you’ll all be getting a new scarf at some point this year (unless I find something else to make!).
Ever since ordering my knitting loom after my best friend shared this tutorial with me, I haven’t been able to stop knitting with my loom. It’s the best £3.55 I’ve spent in a long time. I love a good chunky knit scarf and even on colder Spring days, I’m sure I’ll be rocking one – especially now I’ve learnt to make my own!
I have never been particularly good at knitting, and at the start of last year I really tried to improve, but I still ended up with dropped stitches, uneven scarfs and unfinished projects.. but this knitting loom is really easy to use, I can be watching a film or a TV show (currently can’t get enough of the Walking Dead!) and I don’t have to be counting stitches or worrying about what I’m doing. I’v finished one scarf, and now I’m on to a second for my best friend (as she kindly gave me the idea), with the wool ready and waiting for a third! I think I have a bit of a thing for wool projects.
This is definitely my new favourite hobby. I just need to find some new patterns or other things I can make. Have you come across any tutorials? What have you been making lately? I’d love to hear about your projects!

Ohh this looks really cool! I’ve never tried a knitting loom before, I will have to grab one and give it a try. I do like normal knitting but I’m the same, always dropping stitches. I do find crochet much easier! x

I agree with 2015 being the year of the knitting loom because I’ve been seeing a bunch of people doing it. I actually never tried it but I’m quite curious, it seems to be relaxing and I’m sure it’s great to wear something you did yourself! And I love the color of yours! :) x

Oh really? I haven’t seen many people using the knitting loom myself. Thank you, I do find it really relaxing :) xx
