Nailbox #19 and #20

Nailbox #19 | Unboxing and first impressions of the October 2016 We Have Lift Off! Nailbox
A couple of weeks ago now I received an e-mail to say that the November Nailbox would be their final issue and that they wouldn’t be releasing any further boxes. I guess all good things have to come to an end but after 20 months of being subscribed I was saddened to hear that Nailbox would be no more, especially as it’s the subscription box that really has quite consistently delivered high quality boxes.

Anyhow, here is the contents of the October ‘We Have Lift Off!’ space themed Nailbox.

Nailberry Number 69 | £14.50
I was absolutely thrilled to receive a Nailberry nail polish as I’ve never tried them. Number 69 is a gorgeous dark blue.

OPI Nail Envy Nail Strengthener | £9.95
I have used Nail Envy on and off for several years so I’m pleased to have a back up bottle.

OPI Super Star Status | £8.95
Super Star Status is a packed silver glitter topper, this seems very highly pigmented so I’m sure that it could easily be warn alone.

Rimmel Breakfast In Bed | £2.99
Breakfast In Bed is a pretty pale shimmery mint shade that provides full opacity in 2 coats.

Elegant Touch Gems | £2.95
These Elegant Touch Gems are a really great addition to this space themed Nailbox, very fitting.

The October Nailbox was a seriously strong edition, especially as the cost of the Nailberry nail polish is pretty much the value of the monthly subscription fee.

Nailbox #20 | Unboxing and first impressions of the November 2016 Classic Colours Nailbox
For the final release in November, Nailbox opted for a back to basics ‘Classic Colours’ theme.

Brushworks Glass Nail File | £5.99
Great to see the inclusion of a glass nail file, I was hoping Nailbox would add one in at some point or other as they’re so useful.

Essie Tying The Knotie | £2.99-£7.99
Tying The Knotie is a sheer pale pink, perfect for days when you want something minimal.

Nails Inc West End | £15.99
Nails Inc West End is a classic red, definitely a staple and works well with the November theme.

Rimmel 3D Plumping Top Coat | £4.49
I can’t remember whether I have tried this top coat before but even so I’m looking forward to giving this a whirl.

Sinful.. Flawless | £7.95
Flawless is a seriously beautiful soft grey, this is probably the shade I’m looking forward to trying most from the November box.

The November ‘Classic Colours’ Nailbox was another awesome box and I’m so sad that Nailbox is no more. I know there are a couple of other nail subscription boxes out there but you seem to get less per box and pay more per month so I’m going to keep my fingers crossed for a new contender on the market.

What do you think of the contents of the final 2 Nailboxes?

  • I like the products in both boxes, I haven’t bought a nail polish in a while which isn’t like me, I have bought a couple of gel polishes, I seem to be getting more into the gel polishes than regular polishes but there are so many nice ones I need to have a look once Christmas is out of the way and I have more funds ha ha, great to see you back darling, I’ve missed you xxx
