Hello there half moon manicure, you’re my attempt at trying something slightly different and I rather like you.

I used the Essence Creative Tips Manicure Guides for the half moon design. I probably won’t repurchase these specific tip guides as they didn’t peel off quite so smoothly after application, but I would create the half moon design again as I really love how it looks and with a bit of practice I think I could get neater lines.

Surprisingly the half moon design didn’t take much longer than a usual manicure, especially as I just used a clear base. I’d love to up my nail art game (I mean it’s currently basically non-existent!) so I suppose this is a step in the right direction.

The nail polish featured is a TK Maxx find in the form of Nars Libertango. It’s a fiery burnt orange that looks more orange in the bottle then it does applied to my nails. Compared to Nars Dark Room, which is the only other Nars nail polish in my collection, Libertango has a runnier formula which I found easier to apply and it is still opaque in 2 coats. It’s been quite a nice change from the blue nail polish I’ve been wearing so much recently.

What nail polish have you been loving lately?
