My May You Beauty Box landed on my doorstep a couple of days ago. The theme of this month’s box is The Cult Beauty Edit, all of the products in the May shortlist are favourite but less ordinary beauty products on the market to fit the theme.
The first product I chose from the May shortlist was Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Hibiscus. I’ve already got a Burt’s Bees lip balm that I really enjoy using but I also thought it would be lovely to have one in my collection with a subtle red tint.
I also chose the MUA Prime and Conceal Palette which contains 5 correcting cream shades to help banish imperfections across all skin tones. I’ve never really experimented with correcting palettes like this one so I thought I could give it a go. The Lilac shade is said to illuminate and mute yellow undertones, green is meant to reduce redness, yellow is meant to brighten, peach adds radiance and the middle shade is a highlight.
May You Beauty Box’s extra treats came in the form of a Popband Hair Tie which is a stretchy, kink-free hair tie and a sample of the VERSO Super Facial Serum which is described as instantly nourishing.
Considering these boxes are £6.95 a month I’m always amazed at the value for money of the contents. The extra treats this month aren’t my favourite but there was so much to choose from in the May You Beauty Box shortlist that I had trouble deciding!
